Autumn/Winter Trends

By Rochelle Symons in Exclusive, F&F Couture, Get the look, Street Style, Trends, Womenswear on Wednesday 27th October, 2010

If you are an avid blog reader, you may have been seeing some bloggers talking about our new A/W range. We challenged them to choose one item from our new range and style it up their way!

We have seen some trends in the way they have styled their outfits, and even with the items they have chosen…take a look at how some of the bloggers styled their outfits…

First up we have Tor from Fabfrocks and Katie from What Katie Wore rocking the  shoulder pad trend. Both ladies chose items from our brand new A/W Couture range, and don’t they look fabulous? Tor is wearing the Couture panel dress and Katie is wearing the Couture button front shoulder blouse.

Both have been styled with some heels to add height, and minimal accessories.

Another big trend for A/W is khaki and neutral shades, from nail polish to trousers, this is going to be big! We love these two outfits from Vicky at Lady Bug Says and Natalie from Fashion Pearls of Wisdom. Working with a subdued palette of colour, we think both these ladies look great! Vicky is wearing the faux feather fur cropped jacket and Natalie is wearing the printed peg leg trousers.

We are going to be sharing more trends with you over the next few days, so look out for some more looks from more amazing bloggers!

Twitter Ghost Story

By Rochelle Symons in Competitions, Friday Steals, News on Friday 22nd October, 2010

Thanks to everyone who took part in our Halloween Giveaway and tweeted their contributions to our Friday ghost story. I think we would all agree that there were some very amusing tweets throughout the day.

Here’s the full spooky story with the winning tweets…

“Deep within the darkest woods lived an old lady. Everyone was scared of her, but no one knew why…It seemed like she had always been there. Generations of kids had dared one another to trick or treat her, the kids would knock at the door, shaking in their boots but never did she answer until one night…

The door creaked open as thunder rolled long and loud from above. Their faces paled and mouths opened in preparation to yell “Trick or Treat” but their voices were muted by the vision of a gnarly hand extended towards them, grasping a bowl of what looked like fingernails and frogs legs.

The children looked at each other in horror. The old lady leant towards them and with a shriek yelled “TRICK”!

Before any of them had chance to move she bent over and grabbed hold of the broom standing by the door. Leaping on she launched herself into the night sky, shrieking and taking with her all of the sweets the children had collected so far.

“Typical” said one. “Mum will never believe we haven’t eaten them all.”

Congrats to all our winners, who have been contacted on Twitter.

Watch our Twitter page on Friday to join in on our first ever Halloween ghost story! How will it work?

We will then retweet a tweet from one of our followers, which continues the story. If you are lucky enough to get your tweet in as part of the story, you will win a Halloween goodie bag to help you celebrate Halloween.

We can’t wait until Friday, we are going to start reading some spooky tales now for inspiration…

Clothing at Tesco loves…A Mothers Ramblings

By Reena Rai in Clothing at Tesco loves on Friday 15th October, 2010

This week, we’ve been reading another great blog from one of the lovely families we met at our Halloween event. A Mother’s Ramblings is written by household supermum Pippa, who likes to throw in loads of fun along with keeping run of the house.

With her blog, Pippa introduces us to her family – made up of Daddy, and two little ones; Top Ender and Baby Boy – and invites us to follow the many adventures she has in store for them! It’s no wonder she recently won the MAD award for Best Family Fun blog, when she lays on exciting activities such as feeding the ducks, days out, and camping! They even love fun so much, they manage to have it doing nothing!

We love that Pippa and her family have such an active approach to having fun, and aren’t afraid to get stuck in! Be sure to check out her blog for some brilliant inspiration!

If you’re on twitter, you can follow her too!

Have a great weekend!
