The great and the good of the fashion elite were out in force last night including some of the Clothing at Tesco team to celebrate the 5th birthday of Estethica, the ethical initiative of the British Fashion Council at the Central London venue, Almada last night.
We were there to show our continuing support for our ethical ranges by the likes of From Somewhere and GoodOne.
There were amazing installations from the likes of Junkie Styling, huge inflatable dogs from Christopher Raeburn and the new collabaration between Speedo and From Somewhere.
Fashion royalty and key exponents of all things ethical in attendance included The Telegraphs Hilary Alexander, Sarah Mower from Style.com and Suzanne Tide Frater of 19 Management.

It seems like summer has crept up on us, and now we’ve found ourselves nearer and nearer to one of our favourite times of the year… holiday season! And what’s more – with that exciting holiday in the pipeline, also comes the ever-important holiday wardrobe! It’s important to make sure you’ve got outfits not only for the occasion, but also for the location – so read on as we take a look at this summer’s hottest destinations and our recommendations on how to style them!
If you’re a sun seeker heading over to the beautiful shores of Tenerife, you’ll want an outfit that is both versatile and stylish! Prints are certainly on trend this season, and we think the Leaf print on this F&F Bikini top and brief set would look great lazing by the pool or on the beach. Possibly one of the biggest highlights of the year for the Hollywood A-list, the prestigious Cannes Film Festival is in full swing, and all the biggest names in film have made a break for the sunny shores of France! Of course, Cannes wouldn’t be complete without the glitz, glamour, premieres, and parties… and the celebs have certainly pulled out all the stops this year!
Even though we’ve spent most of the day drooling over some of the fab outfits, we just can’t get over Alexa Chung’s stunning dress at the Sleeping Beauty premiere. The style icon looked a vision in an elegant but show-stopping white Balenciaga number, paired with black heels and beautiful Chopard necklace. We loved the gorgeous volume to the dress especially, creating a look that was both simple and sophisticated – in true Alexa style!
If you’d like to recreate Alexa’s red carpet style, we’ve found the perfect alternative for that dressy occasion. This lovely F&F Fit and Flare Dress features the same fitted waist and full pleated skirt, to help you achieve that all important head-turning moment! We had a brilliant time this week at our F&F Autumn/Winter 2011 Press Day, and it was a great excuse to meet and catch up with some of our favourite (and fabulously stylish) bloggers! We met the lovely Susie at the event, and ever since we’ve been hooked on her gorgeous blog, Take-out in Couture!
Susie certainly knows her stuff when it comes to her personal style, and she has an eye for picking out outfits that are bang on trend, whilst being completely wearable. She’s not afraid of a bit of colour, and likes to add splashes of brightness into her outfit when she can – just take a look at this lovely colour blocking outfit, which we think would be perfect for a summer day in the office!
Not simply stopping at her own style, Susie also likes to keep a constant eye out for great fashion inspiration wherever she goes! We just can’t get enough of her street style posts – especially the effortless style of this adorable couple, and the ‘throw-it-on’ look that these bunch of cool kids have down to a tee.
