The Ramblings of Mrs BeBe

Hello my lovelies!

Rain, rain, go away… I think its safe to say the weather has got us reaching for our wellies, jumpers and waterproofs this week! We’ve set up our April Showers edit on site with everything you need to keep you and your family puddle-proof! But it is Friday, so time to duck out of the rain and announce our blogger of the week… The Ramblings Of Mrs Bebe!

This fabulous blog was created by the lovely Becky Barnes, aka Mrs BeBe; a super stylish business woman who’s vintage mad, married and a mother of one.’ We love how she mixes affordable high street fashion with vintage finds and makes it oh-so-chic and on trend! Also if you find yourself in a bit of a struggle to wear an item differently, you should definitely check out her post on Dotty Dress 3 Ways for some style tips!

Mrs BeBe is a very busy lady. Not only does she run her popular blog singlehandedly, but she also likes to get other blogs involved in special features – such as the Plus Size Swimwear Challenge where she gets her blogger friends to road test different swimsuits to give readers a greater scope about what’s on offer. Spot on lady!

As well as fun and helpful features, she’s also curating Plus North 2012, a plus size blogger event showcasing lots of fantastic event – we say grab your tickets now so you don’t miss out!

You can also follow this very resourceful young lady on Twitter over at @MrsBeBe!

Have a fab weekend ladies! x

Happy 6th Birthday Beth!

By saraferrity in Childrenswear, Get the look on Monday 23rd April, 2012

Happy Birthday to Beth Wilkin who turned six this weekend!

We’ve all been there – desperately trying to find the perfect dress for the party of the year! With celebrity guests such as Gambado the Tiger attending, Beth knew she had to pull out all the stops with her outfit! We’re so thrilled that in the end she chose to wear F&F on her special day!

Beth was so pleased with her new dress that she sent us in a picture from the day – doesn’t she look great?! We love those matching socks!

          F&F Frill Sleeve Dress – £6.00

If you love Beth’s style as much as we do, check our our gorgeous range of girls’ dresses for your little one!

Happy Friday guys! It’s nearly officially the weekend, which means it’s time to start debating our weekend outfits (this changeable weather is certainly keeping us on our toes).

Music is undoubtedly a huge genre that inspires the fashion industry, and with the annual celebration of ‘independent record store day’ this weekend, we’re checking out the best people to give us the low-down and fashion tips.

Our fave this week is ‘Quarter Life Tales of Annie Bean’.

Annie is a music and fashion blogging addict from the glorious Midlands who “loves tea parties, travel, running & being spontaneous!” Her blog lures you in with tales of outfit inspiration along with a sprinkling of her outdoor travels that will have you glued for hours.

A close follower of fashion, Annie takes key fashion trends and styles them in a way that is wearable and looks effortless for everyday wear. She also has this year’s summer style down to a T, wearing a Vintage Candy style floral dress paired with an oversized tan coloured handbag and a loosely disheveled up-do. So pretty!

We’re also impressed with how she pulls off what we like to call ‘cycle-chic.’ A keen fitness fanatic she doesn’t let this stop her looking stylish! We’re talking stylish cycle helmets (you heard us!) and covetable baskets to accessorize your bicycle.

As always don’t forget to follow her on Twitter over at @aggy84.

Have a lovely weekend ladies!

Leo Bancroft Launch!

By saraferrity in Behind the scenes, Celebrity, Exclusive on Thursday 19th April, 2012

Last night the Lifestyled team were lucky enough to attend the brilliant launch of Leo Bancroft’s product range at The Ivy Club. We spied a few celeb guests and even managed to grab a goodie bag on the way home, generously stuffed full of Leo’s products (check mine out below!)

My goodie bag

It is not only the models and catwalks that love Leo, but since becoming This Morning’s hairstylist, Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes are both his biggest fans and loyal customers, as well as a list of celebrity clients and friends, including the Chelsea football team and their families, Peter Crouch, Abbey Clancy, and Kirsty Gallagher.

Ruth Langsford from This Morning said, “Leo has always been a great hairdresser and I am a big fan, he has been doing my hair for years. I highly recommend Leo and his line of products to everyone, and we love him at This Morning.

Leo’s range is now available exclusively in 500 Tesco stores UK-wide and thank goodness – I can’t live without his tousled beach wave spray! Better stock up on it ladies as his 17-product line is being sold at an introductory price of £2.50 a product until the end of April!

Cudos to Leo for bringing catwalk and celebrity glamour to the high street so we can all get a piece of the action!

Me and the lovely Leo

The Only Way is Ella!

By saraferrity in Accessorizes, Brands, Celebrity, Get the look on Monday 16th April, 2012

I’m so excited about the latest series of The Only Way is Essex that started this Sunday! It’s inspired me to give myself a bit of a style makeover this week (not on the same scale as the lovely Arg)….lashings of fake tan, manicured nails, fake lashes and of course very, very high heels!

Now I’m not making quite so much moolah as the TOWIE gang, but who cares about designer shoes when you’ve got Ella – celeb style for a fraction of the price!

More so than most of her co-stars Sam Faiers loves her denims and what could be more Essex than a white pair of skinny jeans? The owner of her own clothing boutique it’s safe to say Sam know what suits her, so I can guarantee she already knows that this coral top will work well against a tan (real or fake). Team with a pair of gorgeous Ella platform heels for a touch of glamour!

The lovely Lydia Bright is probably the most demure cast member and the one with the most unique (and arguably best) sense of style. Lydia loves to experiment with clothes from different decades so we thought this 70s style spot print halter neck dress would be right up her alley. Keeping it classy a pair of Ella cream peep toes to finish the look!

F&F Coral Rolled up sleeve zip back top £14.00 , F&F Belted straight leg jeans £16.00 , Ella Shoes Patent peep toe platform shoe £22.00

F&F Limited Edition Spot print halterneck maxi dress £40.00 , Ella Shoes Patent peep toe platform shoe £22.00 ,

Lauren Goodger is probably the most well known of the bunch and boy does that girl love a pair of leggings! Comfortable and form-fitting, leggings are a wardrobe must-have! Dress them up or down leggings work just as well in the gym as they do on a night out! If like Lauren you’re conscious of your figure then add a longer top with a bit of volume like this orange vest to balance your figure. Let your shoes do the talking with these Ella leopard print platforms – you’ll be the envy of Essex!

Chloe Simms has a very specific style – ladylike with a touch of Essex glamour! This classic figure hugging dress wouldn’t look out of place in Chloe’s wardrobe and the bold black and white vertical block pattern keeps this looking modern! We all know those Essex girls love a bit of animal print and these Ella snakeskin platforms would no doubt go down a treat!

F&F Zip pocket vest £12.00 , F&F Leggings £6.00 , Ella Shoes Animal print platform peep toe shoe £25.00

F&F Limited Edition Colour block belted shift dress £28.00 , Ella Shoes Snakeskin platform court shoe £25.00

Stay REEM Lifestyled readers!

Clothing at Tesco loves… EmilinaLove

Happy Friday everyone! We can’t wait to get the weekend started, and if you’re anything like us, you’ll love hunting down outfit inspiration for your next clothes haul – and this week we’ve been glued to EmilinaLove.

At the helm of this insightful fashion blog is Emily Eleanor, a fab Creative Writing student from Birmingham with an obsession for all things grunge and vintage. Think Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen meets Alexa Chung glam grunge fashion.

As well as her fab fashion finds we also love how Emily puts together deceivingly affordable outfits that scream high-end British fashion, with inspiration from London’s East End and boutique fashion stores.

We especially love this glam outfit, which is a mixture of high street and online, with the faux fur coat from yours truly!

Be sure to add her blog to your reading list, and don’t forget to follow her on twitter!

Happy fantastic weekend everyone!

Totally Hired!

By saraferrity in Get the look, Top Picks on Thursday 12th April, 2012

Inspired by the latest series of The Apprentice I’ve been browsing our work wear and tailored collection online with the hope of smartening up around the office this season. It really couldn’t be better timing either with our £10 off when you spend £40 or more promotion currently running. All of these garments are great investment pieces and can be worn with or without each other to create a multitude of stylish office looks! black pencil skirt £16.00, F&F purple pleated shell top £14.00 , F&F polka dot t-shirt£9.00 , F&F coral Rolled up sleeve zip back top £14.00F&F Spot print chiffon blouse £14.00

The traditional black pencil skirt is the one of the most versatile separates in your working wardrobe. Flattering for all figures the pencil skirt is growing in popularity largely due to the cult TV series Mad Men which champions emphasising the female silhouette through sophisticated workwear. This subtly glamorous little number is therefore perfect for wearing from the office straight out on the town!

Team with a fitted blazer to add a feminine touch even in the most corporate of offices or create a more playful look by mixing and matching with different colours and styles of top – the world really is your oyster when it comes to the humble pencil skirt!

F&F cropped chino trousers £16.00 , F&F striped shirt £14.00 , F&F penny loafers £13.00

Everyone loves a classic and what’s not to love about this classic preppy look! No longer a sense of style exclusive to the upper-classes the popularity of eighties films like The Breakfast Club and Pretty in Pink launched it into the mainstream and it’s still as cool today as it was then. A pair of well fitted chinos can be dressed up for the office or down on the weekend. I love this pair teamed with a simple pink shirt for a girly touch and some comfy penny loafers to finish the look.

F&F Linen blend belted shift dress £18.00 Cotton Cardigan £10.00, Ella court shoes £20.00

This outfit is ideal for looking chic at work and if Breakfast at Tiffanys has taught me anything it’s that a little black dress is an essential in every woman’s wardrobe. This is also a great staple piece for the office because you can wear it under a blazer or cardigan depending. While a spring chill is still in the air why not add a cute colourful cardi to lift the black. This is definitely an outfit for maintaining your femininity at the office while looking nothing but professional.

F&F Flippy Spring print skirt £12.00F&F Fairtrade cotton ribbed vest £3 , F&F Limited Edition Open front structured blazer , Ella peep toe shoes £22.00

If your office is more laid back or you just feel like breaking out of the stiff and overly business-like look – a modest-length but fun printed skirt like this polka dot one is ideal for work. To keep it slightly conservative I’ve teamed with a colourful tailored jacket and a basic white vest. In terms of shoes I’d say anything goes! A pair of heels will allow you to hit the town straight after work on a Friday, a funky pair of flats will keep it more casual and boots and tights will be the perfect combination come autumn!

Make sure to invest in staple pieces for the office, and with those, you will be able to create endless possibilities to stay the best-dressed in the office without breaking the rules. Don’t be afraid of color, or even prints- if you have mostly a wardrobe of neutral pieces, invest in some bright accessories!

Remember our £10 off £40 spend or more ends Sunday 22nd April 2012 so hurry and catch a bargain while you can!
