So, Christmas has been and gone and the post big day blues are well and truly setting in. We’ve stuffed our faces full of turkey and helped ourselves to the chocolate treats that seem to be lurking around every corner, whilst muttering the words ‘oh go on then, I’ll have one’ – quickly realising within a few hours you’ve had a lot more than just the one!
However, all is not bad because we still have New Year’s Eve celebrations to get excited about! We all celebrate bringing in the New Year in a different way. Whether it’s a trip to the local, a big night out or simply going to a gathering at number 32 with the rest of the neighbours, we all want to nail the outfit!
Here are some of our favourite outfits whatever the occasion!
Comment and let us know what you’ve got planned for tonight to celebrate the end of what has been an incredible 2012 for the UK!
With Christmas coming to an end and the beginning of 2013 in sight, we couldn’t resist reminiscing about how great this year has been and in particular, looking back at the involvement we’ve had from some fantastic fashion, plus size and mummy bloggers. So before 2012 is nearly out, take a sit back and remind yourself of some of the exciting events this year…
February & September: London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week is one of our favourite times of the year, after all nothing beats a fab dose of style inspiration! We had great fun meeting up at Somerset House with some of our favourite fashionista bloggers, who did not disappoint as they pulled out some amazing looks. Just to mention a few people that we saw were Sherin from Hi Fashion and Jazmine from Jazabelle’s Diary. Click here to find out which other bloggers we spotted.
July: Plus North
The Plus North event was held in July, in Leeds city centre. It was a huge success thanks to the fabulous blogger organizers Becky from The Ramblings of Mrs BeBe and Toni from the Only Way Is Toni. We are now super excited for Plus North 2013 in September!
Summer: Back To School
Every year the Back to School campaign is a big deal. We simply love our mummy bloggers who help us review the new products and get involved in our back to school activities. There are just too many to mention, but a big shout out goes to the bloggers Catherine of Baby Genie, and Becky of Baby Budgeting.
November: SS13 Collection
The Spring Summer 2013 press day was held recently to give a sneak peek at the new range. We met up with Clare from Rainbows & Fairydust who had an eye for the Aztec inspired collection and embellished pastels. We can’t wait for this collection to come out!
December: Pitsea Store Opening
In December we saw our first re-modelled F&F store opening in Pitsea. We sent down blogger Laura from That’s So Yesterday, to see what all the fuss was about. With a new fashion-forward look, this new vision got the thumbs up from Laura. To find out what she thought of the store, read her blog here.
December: Women Of The Year Awards & Bloggers Budget Challenge
When we heard Sera from The Agoraphobic Fashionista was up for Belfast Telegraph Woman of the Year Awards 2012, we couldn’t have been happier for her. Sera looked gorgeous in her F&F halter neck dress and her man looked pretty swish in his F&F suit too! We’d like to say a big thank you for also organising the Bloggers Budget Challenge too, which was a great success and you all looked gorgeous!
We hope you had a merry Christmas and here’s to a happy and stylish New Year!

After seeing how much you all enjoyed last years Christmas story, we decided we just had to do it again this year! Making it bigger and better with more winners, we were thrilled to see all our F&F twitter fans getting into the festive spirit and helping us create a #FFXmasStory.
We began the story and asked our fans to tweet us with what happened next, including the hashtag #FFXmasStory. Whoever’s tweets got re-tweeted by us became part of the story and they won a £25 F&F voucher.
We loved all the entries and it has to be said it was hard to pick the winners at times! We think we ended up with a fantastic Christmas story that will be sure to keep you merry over the festive period.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who got involved and our winning contributors: @littlelottee20, @pipersky1, @morphic43, @lauraelle83, @katiejoyceanna, @annabella200, @BohdanK, @Moonchees78, @AE989, @Charlotte_jones, @lynette83x, @vics_lou, @kimc43, @NikkiHayes1969, @noblemcsquer.

Never lose your sense of wonder – here at F&F HQ we are strong believers of this! Especially with the holidays on the horizon, our top tips to truly enjoy this Christmas would be…
1. To get outside and see the world
2. Read a good book
3. Watch an inspiring film
4. Try on a different outfit that you wouldn’t normally wear
5. Read a new blog online
One of our personal passions is discovering new bloggers of the fashion world… so without further ado let us introduce to you this weeks Clothing at Tesco Loves blog… Style Speaks Louder Than Words.
At the helm of this inspiring blog is Stacey, who recently graduated in journalism and now enjoys roaming over the peaceful Derbyshire countryside. She loves to write about her fabulous fashion finds and always finds a new way to make her clothes versatile to work in a range of different looks.
We particularly love how Stacey rocks her cute blazer to create different day or evening styles. Our particular favourite is when she teams a blazer with a casual dress to create a sophisticated effortless look. We think this gives any outfit right-now relevance and most importantly a touch of femininity with the fitted blazer.
Don’t forget you can follow the lovely Stacey on Twitter @SJMFord. How would you style Stacey’s gorgeous blazer? Leave a comment below or tweet us @ClothingatTesco.
So we all know Christmas can be a bit hit and miss in the present department and none more so than when you’re a kid.
Here at F&F base camp we’ve been reliving our childhood Christmases and reminiscing about our favourite and worst Christmas presents. Let us know about the presents you loved as a kid and the ones you’d rather forget!
Nicola – My best Christmas present was the Pound Puppy’s Mother and Babies teddies, which I loved!
My worst would have to be a set of tea towels when I was about 9 years old. My nan had labelled it ‘To Nicola, Happy Christmas love Nan & Grampy’ by mistake as it was actually a Morton household gift!
Hannah – My best present was a pink bike. I cried. Never has a Christmas prezzie been so emotional!
My worst present was a little box that you opened and inside was a rattling bug – I think it was a ladybird.
Laura - My purple and turquoise Furby was the best Christmas present, although it made random noises during the night which scared the life out of me.
My worst present was a jar of slime putty with an alien inside – not what a little girl wants to open on Christmas morning!
Gemma – My best present was a pair of white roller skates with hot pink laces and bright blue wheels, although I remember thinking how funny it was that Santa and my Dad had the same handwriting.
One year I got lots of camping gear including a sleeping bag, mini torch and cutlery which I hated because I don’t like camping but my brother and sister loved it!
***This competition is now closed and our winner’s names are below. Please stay tuned for more exciting activity!***

This time of year is when things start getting a little bit, well, complicated. There are (delete as appropriate) work parties and nativity plays and drinks with the girls and potluck suppers with the in-laws and carol services and team lunches and that’s all before we get to New Year’s Eve!
Here at F&F we can’t help if you’ve burnt the mince pies or forgotten to buy a present for Aunty Mary, but we have found one super flattering, very versatile dress which we think will take you to all the occasions above and beyond.
Stella Morgan dress – £22
There’s nothing like a little black dress that you can wear for day or night. Do you have a hero item in your wardrobe? We’d love to hear about it!
