Clash of the trends

So we’ve done our homework and got SS13 trends sussed but how about turning things on their head and rocking these looks together?  You don’t need to stick to wearing one trend this season, for a unique and completely cool look, mix and match different eras, textures, prints and tailoring to create your own outfits. I mean, everyone loves the dainty floral dress and biker jacket combination don’t they?

Take a look at the outfits I’ve styled below. These looks are easy and flattering ways to wear different trends (without making you look ridiculous!).

Polish off your spring summer office wear by teaming this tailored 60s A-line mini with a tucked in chiffon studded shirt and studded slipper pumps for fierce rock chic embellishment. Add in tights for a trans-seasonal compromise.

F&F Limited Edition A-line Mini Skirt £20, F&F Stud Collar Shirt £16, F&F Spike Slipper Shoes £14, Lip Colour – Mistress £6.50

Clashing prints are making a comeback this season and this look combines masculine military camouflage with exotic tribal print. The wedged trainers add a touch of sports luxe and, combined with the bright cross body bag, finish off the casual feel.

F&F Studded Camouflage Jacket £28, F&F Zanzibar Tunic and Scarf Set £20, F&F Bright Buckle Cross Body Bag £8, Envy Velcro Strap Invisible Wedge Trainers £30

Cargo trousers aren’t just for ‘fall out of bed, first thing at hand’ comfort, roll up these tapered cargos and wear with a sleek pair of heels and this soft floral peplum top for a chic work outfit.

F&F Cargo Trousers £16, F&F Patent Pointed Toe Court Shoes £15, F&F Limited Edition Daisy Lace Peplum Top £20, F&F Snakeskin Effect Lock Shopper Bag £15

To browse these pieces and more take a look at our Inspire Me page and make sure you let me know what trend clashes you’ll be rocking.
