“Beauty to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin.
That, or a kick-ass red lipstick” – Gwyneth Paltrow.
Being comfortable in your own skin is something that we thoroughly believe in here at F&F HQ.
Dressing in what you feel comfortable in and what suits your body shape can have an impact on how you feel and your overall confidence. One blogger who we think embraces this is Laura Claire, behind the fashion blog Lucky Pretty.
Laura Claire based in South London, is passionate about all things fashion, beauty and all-round pretty. Starting her oh-so-fabulous blog in April 2012, we’ve noticed Laura’s style evolve over the past few months into a chic, effortless sophisticated look.
Recently we challenged Laura Claire to go out and trial one of our dresses from the new F&F magic range. We think it’s a great look on her that works from day to night. Laura Claire said, “the dress is designed to be flattering; gathering around the tummy masks a large lunch and it has sleeves for girls conscious of their arms (like me!)”
Have you tried one of our F&F magic dresses, if so what did you think? Comment below and let us know…
Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.
- Marilyn Monroe
We couldn’t agree more with this statement; the right pair of shoes can really complete an outfit and give you an added confidence boost. The right shoes can take your daytime look to evening in one simple step and are the perfect way to add a touch of colour to an outfit.
One blogger who loves her shoes is Jo, from She and Hem. Jo and Victoria are the fashionable duo behind She and Hem having bonded over their affection for pretty dresses and cats!
Jo posted about her love for her new F&F snaffle trim pumps mixing buckles and polka dots!

Since you guys have been sharing your pics showing us how you have been styling F&F, we have been on the lookout for people wearing it too. We snapped a photo of our team member Gemma wearing a gorgeous Aztec print dress by Stella Morgan. Mixing summer brights and print together Gemma has teamed her midi dress with F&F tan leather sandals. We suggest teaming a summer tribal dress with a biker jacket and ankle boots for a transitional look.
Get Gemma’s look.

Getting the kids ready to go back to school can sometimes be a bit manic with getting uniforms sorted, books and exercise books bought and covered and organising lunches amongst other things. It’s such a busy and often expensive time of year that often there is little time to think of your own wardrobe.
With the back to school season just around the corner, we asked parents on our Facebook page to tell us what their essential items are for the school run. School run style is all about accessible and comfortable clothing yet we all still want to look and feel good.
Whatever the weather
School run style can be particularly difficult due to the ever-changing British weather. With the constant threat of rain showers and wild winds it can be a tough decision in the mornings when time is of the essence.
Below are some of some of our essential items for braving the showers. The top item recommended by our fans is a good quality waterproof coat- light and very waterproof! Comment below and let us know yours.
Shower proof style:
The bare essentials
There are 3 essential items to have on hand for this time of year
1. Good sturdy footwear:
Comfortable, flat and with a huge range available; trainers are an obvious choice for busy parents on the school run. If you’re looking for a more glamorous look, why not try a pair of flat leather boots, or boots with a low heel if you want a little lift.
2. The waterproof jacket: the rain mac
Most of our fans agreed that the most important item for the school run is a waterproof jacket so that you can be ready to brave any unexpected showers. Below we’ve put together a mix of our favourite waterproof jackets that are both practical and fashionable, ideal for the school run.
3. An umbrella
A back to school survival list would not be complete without the inclusion of an umbrella. It is a must for the school run especially if you walk some of the way. At F&F we’ve got a huge range of umbrellas for both parents and kids. Whether you’re after a simple design that is easy to slip into a handbag or briefcase, or a vibrant and fun print F&F has a huge range this Autumn.
So, when you’re stocking up on the kids’ uniform, why not spend a few minutes browsing the site to find a few pieces that take your fancy too!
We’re full of new season promise at F&F HQ this week and as September approaches it’s time to give your autumn wardrobe some serious thought. That’s why I’ve chosen the F&F Limited Edition Leopard Print Crepe Skater Dress as my Wednesday Want. The bold leopard print is an easy way to wear this season’s print and the skater cut can be dressed up or down with biker boots or a leather-look trim blazer. I’ve already bought the top version!

Warm? Chilly? Super hot? Raining? The weather has been a bit all over the place recently making it difficult to know what to pieces to invest in and be able to wear now which you’ll also get use out of as Autumn draws in.
Here at F&F HQ we’re loving these quirky statement knits – light enough to pop on over summer denims as well as layer under a leather jacket, these cute jumpers also look great tucked into skater skirts and worn over collared shirts. Now the only question is, which one is your favourite?
Will you be wrapping up in a statement knit? Are you an animal print or a stripe kind of a gal? As always, let us know in the comments.
We know it sounds crazy, but we’ve become a little sock obsessed of late.
Our love for fun, bold, bright, weird and wonderful socks began when we noticed some like-minded sock enthusiasts had shared their fabulous feet on Instagram this week. The feet, were of course, adorned in some rocking socks, hence why we took note.
Not only were these socks pretty cool, but they were our very own F&F socks!
From bees to butterflies and zebras to dogs, we’ve got them all. To top it off, you can even buy not one, but TWO pairs for just £2 on selected styles.
So, we’ve decided that there is no better time than the present to treat our feet. Take a look at all the styles and let us know which ones take your fancy…
If you’ve already bought a wonderful pair of our socks then tweet us a pic @clothingattesco .
Do you ever look in your wardrobe and think, “I’ve got nothing to wear”, even though you are staring at tons of gorgeous clothes? The trick is to have a couple of key pieces that can be teamed with different accessories and cover-ups to create a host of different looks. One blogger who has got her key items down to a tee is Karen, from the blog Mission Style.
A couple of weeks ago, Karen tweeted us this fabulous photo of her impulse purchase at F&F, which we simply LOVE! As we move towards Autumn, it’s all about rich tones of reds, deep roses and burnt oranges. Keeping the look simple and oh-so-sophisticated, Karen teamed the dress with a patent pair of black court shoes and a tailored jacket. The question is… what do you think of the look ladies? Tweet us @ClothingatTesco and let us know.
There’s been quite a bit of hype here at F&F over the last couple of weeks as we have slowly started to see the AW13 trends coming through, so we thought it was time to introduce one of them to Lifestyled.
Autumn is my favourite time of year for fashion! Anyone who knows me knows all too well that when I go shopping everything is black, dark green or burgundy (despite giving myself a rule to buy something bright and colourful!). So, autumnal fashion is like heaven for me in the high street.
Future 40s is what we have earmarked one of our most striking trends to date. Shift dresses, coats, blazers and prim pencil skirts are staple items in the trend, and the chic shapes of the era are updated with sharp, futuristic edges for a dramatic entrance into the new season.
Below I’ve picked out my favourite pieces from the trend that will be perfect for the office and post work drinks!
F&F Signature PU Trim Peplum Top, £20.00, F&F Signature Gold Trim High Waisted Trousers £25.00, F&F Patent Clutch Bag £10.00

Having a positive attitude is key to life. Don’t you think? If you believe in yourself and always have a smile on your face – everything will eventually fall into place. We can’t believe we are into August already – this year seems to be flying by. Lucy from the blog Shiny Thoughts shows us how to enjoy the last of the summer whether it’s rain or shine and how to dress perfectly for every occasion.
Lucy, who studied Fashion Promotion in London, is a great blogger to keep a watchful eye on. Her style is summery and always cheers us up – particularly when the weather takes a turn for the worst! We love how she teams bright block colours with prints and always aims to mix and match her accessories to pull the look together in a great way.
If you, like us, want to see more of Lucy’s style why not check out her blog or follow her on Twitter @shinythoughts.
