Valentine’s Day is one of those annual calendar events that polarises opinion. Some people are filled with dread as soon as the word is mentioned, and others are counting down the days until their loved one does something fantastically romantic to celebrate their love and adoration.
Whatever your thoughts on the matter, whether your single or attached to your partner’s hip, there are many ways to celebrate the day.
The best Valentine’s Day I ever had was a night out with all of my single girlfriends. We dressed up, did ‘Secret Cupid’ (a take on the Secret Santa gift buying) and had set out some clear rules and tasks for the evening – with relevant punishments for not completing said task.
It turned out to be an awesome evening of celebrating being single on Valentine’s Day and having some quality time with those you love and will always love! Remember the saying…’men come and go…’
Anyway, with so many different ways to celebrate Valentine’s Day there are obviously so many ways to dress for the occasion. Having taken some inspiration from Alicia Keys, Anne Hathaway and Reese Witherspoon we think we’ve nailed a few key looks.
Whether you plan on doing a two can dine offer in the house, but still want to make more effort than putting on your pyjamas as soon as you get in from work, or if you want to pack a punch on a dinner date or even a night out with your single friends, we’ve got three looks covered.
Comment and tell us how you’ll be celebrating Valentine’s. Better still; feel free to share any funny Valentine’s Day stories with us. We’re all ears!
