Heavenly Bump has arrived!

By Hannah Thomas in Exclusive, Maternity on Monday 24th September, 2012

Gathered Shoulder Jumpsuit £38

This week we are celebrating the arrival of our beautiful new maternity range, Heavenly Bump Maternitywear, which has landed on our site and is ready for all the glowing pregnant ladies out there to don.

This is our first major fashion led maternity range and we can’t wait to hear your thoughts about it.

I don’t know if this is the same feeling across the board, but most pregnant ladies that I know seem to struggle when trying to find clothing that even vaguely resembles seasonal trends, and one that gives them the practicality required for that ever growing baby bump!

Heavenly Bump, set up by two mums who previously worked for a well known fashion retailer, seems to have done just this, and delivers fashionable, comfortable and practical maternitywear, at an all important reasonable price.

The wealth of knowledge, not only from their time in the fashion industry, but also from being mothers themselves, and understanding a woman’s needs during those precious nine months, has made for a really beautiful maternity range.

One of my personal favourite items in the range is the gathered shoulder jumpsuit. An outfit that can easily be dressed down with sandals and a nice cardigan, but also one that can be worn for a more formal occasion with a wedge heel and beautiful costume jewellery.

The deco print tunic and the polka dot tunic are also must-haves and are perfect for bringing in some exciting patterns into your maternity wardrobe, and they look so comfortable!

From jeans to dresses there is something to help you support your bump whilst maintaining your eye for fashion. So, if you are a mum-to-be, or know somebody that is, then this range could be the answer to all your maternity wardrobe woes. Take a look at the full range here to see if there is anything that takes your fancy.

Also, keep an eye on our Facebook page for an amazing Heavenly Bump competition coming soon. Budding fashion designers will not want to miss this one!

Great Expectations

By Zarah Harrison in Maternity, Top Picks on Tuesday 20th March, 2012

Spring is here and it looks like it’s not just the lambs that are making their way into the world. I feel like everywhere I look at the moment I am seeing expectant mothers and their glowing faces. So I thought it might be a good idea to do a blog post on maternity wear and show those expectant mums that we have some good quality, comfortable maternity basics and they don’t have to cost the earth.

Now if you are fortunate enough to be going away for a little r & r before the big event, you’re a very lucky woman. We have some great swimsuits that are designed specifically for pregnancy and even have special ruching down the side to allow for growth as you progress in your term. I picked this one out as it has a very attractive strap detail and I love the colour.Maternity swimsuit

Quite often there are a few items in your normal wardrobe that you can still wear as you get bigger, some looser clothing or empire line dresses are often quite good for that sort of thing. Underwear does not come under this category unfortunately and mums to be always find themselves having to shell out quite a bit. We are really proud of our Emma Jane maternity underwear at Clothing at Tesco because they’re reasonably priced and we’ve really focused on quality. Bras that have been carefully designed to be a comfortable fit and adjustable back-eyes which you can use to expand as you progress in your pregnancy. Emma Jane nursing bras are great for when you are breastfeeding but will give you support during your pregnancy too so you don’t have buy a whole load of new underwear once you give birth. And if you’re still not convinced, why not click through on our white one below; it was awarded the best product for breastfeeding at the Mother & Baby Awards 2011/12.

Who says you can’t look a little sexy when you are expecting! I really love this maternity nightdress, with its silky smooth viscose fabric and a delicate lace trim. It’s also perfect for when the little one comes along as the V neck design allows easy access for breast feeding

That’s all for today and remember, Mum is not the word, we’d love to hear from you if you’ve got any feedback on our products!
