Wednesday Want…with a difference

This week’s Wednesday Want is something of a departure from the norm… Instead of a piece from F&F that looks good on the outside, this week it’s all about laying the foundations from the inside.  What am I talking about? Well, the latest innovation from the F&F lingerie team is the simply brilliant BACKSMOOTHER BRA which does, well, exactly what it says on the tin label.F&F Backsmoother braF&F Backsmoother bra

The Backsmoother bra has been especially designed by the F&F lingerie team to eliminate that ‘back bulge’ a lot of us (and I’m speaking for experience here) get when wearing a close fitting, stretchy or clingy top over a tight bra.  It features a wide, smooth and seamless back panel which sits flat against the skin meaning no lumps or bumps show. It fastens from the front, which is super handy for those of us who haven’t quite mastered the whole ‘crook your arm behind your back to do up the hook and eye’ trick you need for a regular bra (that’d be me then,) and its butterfly clasp is totally fuss free.   The final reason it’s my Wednesday Want? Its sporty styling and wide bands to the side make it perfect for wearing under slouchy vests with deep armholes.  If the summer ever comes, that’s how I’ll be wearing the Backsmoother to get a comfy yet chic layered look.  For now, this innovative bra is also going to work wonders under transitional jersey dresses.

This afternoon’s Wednesday Want is super pretty, very flattering, and lots of fun.  Perfect for wedding guests, spring parties, the races, or just adding a pop of pastel colour to your wardrobe, this bonded lace dress will be £20 well spent.  Might I add, too, for those that aren’t sick of talking about the weather, that this coral lace dress would work on drizzly days with opaque tights, boots and a blazer.  But we’re thinking positive we’re not going to need to accessorise our spring dresses with those for much longer…Spring Dress from F&F What’s your Wednesday Want? Wednesday Wants…

Happy Wednesday readers! After the snow which came out of nowhere early this week, here at F&F HQ we’re trying to distract ourselves with thoughts of what we will wear once the summer sun rolls round… And saying hello to this Tribal Print Maxi Dress (£20) from our True collection, which comes in sizes 16 through 28.  With a clean, streamlined design which is perfectly in-line with the current catwalk minimalist trends, this pull-on jersey dress has a monochrome tribal print which will go with pretty much everything.

Ahh spring, we’ve missed you!

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s welcomed the slightly warmer weather we’ve enjoyed over the last week or so.  However, despite a colleague declaring on Friday that it was ‘weather for sandals!!’, I don’t think we’re quite at that stage yet.  But fingers crossed.  With that in mind, today’s Wednesday Want is the perfect pair of transitional shoes – bright and colourful with a nod to spring in their floral trim, but still with covered toes and in a versatile denim finish which won’t look totally out of place if the skies grey over in the afternoon.
