The sun is shining (finally!) and here at F&F HQ we’re feeling oh-so summery. Whilst this is partly due to the long awaited weather change, it may also have something to do with the fact that we’ve been playing our new TV ad, over and over again, to really get us thinking about our holidays and the hot British summer that we hope is coming our way this year.
The brand new advert, which launches tomorrow night during Alan Carr’s Chattyman on Channel 4, shows some of the key pieces for our latest summer range.
With a mix of beautifully bright colours and rays of sunshine captured within the advert, it’s no wonder it’s getting us in the mood for sun, sea and sand!

Happy Wednesday readers! After the snow which came out of nowhere early this week, here at F&F HQ we’re trying to distract ourselves with thoughts of what we will wear once the summer sun rolls round… And saying hello to this Tribal Print Maxi Dress (£20) from our True collection, which comes in sizes 16 through 28. With a clean, streamlined design which is perfectly in-line with the current catwalk minimalist trends, this pull-on jersey dress has a monochrome tribal print which will go with pretty much everything.
I’m seeing this dress with a cardi or jacket and heeled sandals for summer in the city, or with flipflops and bold beads on the beach.

Ahh spring, we’ve missed you!
I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s welcomed the slightly warmer weather we’ve enjoyed over the last week or so. However, despite a colleague declaring on Friday that it was ‘weather for sandals!!’, I don’t think we’re quite at that stage yet. But fingers crossed. With that in mind, today’s Wednesday Want is the perfect pair of transitional shoes – bright and colourful with a nod to spring in their floral trim, but still with covered toes and in a versatile denim finish which won’t look totally out of place if the skies grey over in the afternoon.

Today’s Wednesday Want is an easy to wear shift dress which is your shortcut to working the monochrome trend. Black and white stripes were seen everywhere during London Fashion Week, from the catwalks to the front row to street style. And ladies, believe me, black and white stripes are the answer to pretty much every ‘what to wear?’ dilemma. This nautical dress has just enough sailor styling to have you looking polished rather than Popeye, and in a flattering A-line shift shape, you can wear it with tights and a blazer now and with bare legs and heeled sandals in summer. Great for workwear and dressy looks, you could style it down a la Kate Moss with gladiator sandals and a grunge-y denim or leather jacket.

You may have heard about a little event called London Fashion Week going ahead this week but did you know about The Official British Plus Size Weekend? The first ever event of its kind in London is being held on 15th and 16th February to celebrate your curves and the fabulous fashion for real women.
So, for this week’s Wednesday Wants, we thought it was only fitting to pick a piece from our very own Plus Size collection, F&F True. The F&F True Dip Hem Animal Dress has an amazing abstract animal print and is finished in soft and floaty chiffon making it a glam dress with a touch of attitude. Recently, I’ve been taking inspiration from around the office, and been keeping an eye out for ways to spice up a plain outfit or how to subtly introduce new trends into my daily outfit selection.
Some of the top tips from ‘the floor’ include layering, accessorising, bringing in more colour to your outfits and quite importantly, be comfortable!
I’ve taken these ideas and handpicked some of my favourite items from our new collection to show you how I’ll be making the transition into spring (whilst hopefully feeling as though my wardrobe has been well and truly refreshed with some up to date looks).

Here at F&F Towers we spend a lot of time looking at what’s on the catwalks to make sure our range is bang up to date, and today I’m really excited to share a few looks with you from our new collection, 60s GRAPHIC. From Victoria Beckham to Marc Jacobs, this season is all about retro A-line shapes, crisp black and white body-con and splashes of red. Taking their cues from fashion icon Twiggy and Carnaby Street in its heyday, our designers have interpreted the swinging 60s vibe into flattering, comfortable and easy to wear pieces which pack a serious style punch.
Some of my favs from this range are below and include the Limited Edition Tipped Dress (1) and Mini Skirt (3), both £35, and the flattering cropped jacket (4) which comes in black or red, teamed with the zip detailed trousers. (6) An easy and economical way to get a touch of the trend is to work some platform shoes (5), I love these subtle ones from Ella, or give a plain top a retro twist with a scarf.(2)
Or if you’re looking to make a 60s statement without any fuss, these dresses are the perfect shortcut. We’ve taken 60s shapes and patterns and brought them bang up-to-date by lowering hems and streamlining designs so that the result is gorgeously on trend yet works on all figures. I’m already coveting the daisy dress (1) and the red mini dress (3) to team with a denim jacket, tan wedge heels and a bunch of bangles for summer parties. Check out the two monochrome lovelies below too – the black and white dresses shown at (2) and (4) will be available exclusively online soon and I’ll be sure to pop back and tell you when they’re live.
