Clothing at Tesco Loves … Laddered Tights

By Rochelle Symons in Clothing at Tesco loves on Friday 3rd February, 2012

Happy Friday! It’s really starting to feel like winter now, and we’re bundled up in all of the layers we can manage. However, to bring a little warmth to your Friday, we’ve got another excellent fashion blog for you to feast your eyes on – say hello to Laddered Tights!

Louise is the lovely lady behind the words and photos on Laddered Tights. We adore the thematic combinations she tries out in her posts, as well as the quick peeks into her life and her very personal writing style. We especially love her attention to accessories, and we’ve even spotted her all wrapped up in one of our favourite F&F cardigans!  She also offers up treats featuring the latest celebrity fashions and snip-its of her take on their outfits.

Be sure to check out Louise’s blog for a winter warmer, but once you’re done clicking around her blog, remember to put those mittens back on! Have a great weekend and stay cosy!

Our accessory picks for A/W11!

By saraferrity in Accessorizes, Top Picks, Trends on Wednesday 19th October, 2011

It’s no secret that accessories can make or break an outfit, but also come in especially handy for the upcoming chilly season! Here at F&F HQ, we love nothing more than to discuss which accessories work with a particular outfit, so be sure to check out some of our absolute favourites for this season below!

Scarves

F&F Geometric Print Silky Square Scarf – £6, F&F Abstract Print Silky Scarf – £6, F&F Chunky Knit Tassel Scarf – £10

Scarves can be a great finishing touch to any outfit, and are a great way to add that extra warmth in the colder months! Be sure to match your scarf to the occasion however – thicker knitted scarves look fab paired with skinny jeans for an everyday look, whilst thinner printed scarves are the perfect addition to any formal outfit!

Bags

F&F Pleated Mini Tote Bag – £12.50, F&F Satchel Tote – £14, F&F Patent Work Bag – £10

Every woman needs a trusty bag to carry all of the essentials, but finding that perfect one can sometimes be a chore. I personally think that it’s important to have a range of bags – from a glam clutch to wear with ‘that’ new dress, to a roomy handbag for those days when I have to chuck it all in! Vintage styled bags are definitely key pieces this season, and look great worn with a quilted jacket and dark skinny jeans.

Jewellery

Lisa Butcher For Made Maridadi Necklace – £15, Majique Gold Tone and Turquoise Ring – £6, Majique Coloured Cuff – £10

This season, be sure to turn heads with statement jewellery! Gold is a key colour, and a glam way to add warmth to any outfit. Also keep an eye out for chunky jewellery, as this is bang on trend and will effortlessly make an impact by drawing attention to your outfit!

Hats

F&F Floppy Hat – £12, F&F Knitted Beanie With Ears – £5, F&F Cable Knit Headband – £4

More often times than not, when I find that when my outfit doesn’t quite look right, it’s usually because I’m missing the perfect hat! There really is a hat to suit any trend, from gorgeous 70’s inspired volume of a floppy hat to a simple cable knit headband that would look great with a leather jacket for an edgy look. My personal favourite however, is this F&F Knitted Beanie with ears, which is a great way to throw in a bit of quirkiness into your everyday outfit!

If you don’t know that brights are one of the biggest trends of spring and summer, where have you been? Lucky for you, we’ve been monitoring all the hottest colours, and top of the list and all over London Fashion Week was Red!

We just can’t get enough and if and we are not the only ones! Adorned by the likes of Victoria Beckham and Kelly Brooke, red can suit any size, shape or item from the sexy red dress that the Sugababes coveted in the lyrics of their song, to Isabelle Marant’s amazing leather cigarette pants. If you are lucky enough to have legs that look fierce in these trousers, you should be wearing them!

Red can be a daunting colour to wear if it’s not a staple colour in your wardrobe, so we’ve got some great items that will help smooth you into the trend and make you feel better than the Special K woman!

F&F Belted Mac £35.00

A red coat is a great way to introduce colour into your wardrobe and make a statement, without being too overwhelming.  This will definitely brighten up your commute, and you can never go wrong with a statement trench coat!

Pleat Ruched side pencil dress £42.50

If the moment calls for a bit of attention, you can go bold in this stunning red ruched, pencil dress. Keep your accessories paired down and to a minimum and let the dress do all the talking!

F&F Lace balconette bra £7.00

If you want to brighten up an outfit, small flashes of red will really put a spring in your step. Accessorise with a scarf or hat, or keep it undercover (or peeking out!) with some gorgeous red lingerie; after all it is the colour of love and romance!

If these little red numbers have whet your appetite you can check out all items in our red trend here.

However, you wear it, you’re sure to have a smile on your face!
