Blog Spot – Our favourite F&F Blog posts

By Chloe Tompkins in Clothing at Tesco loves, News, Top Picks, Womenswear on Thursday 25th August, 2011

One of the best things about working for F&F is seeing the influential bloggers who follow us and love our product! It’s always really interesting to see how individuals put their own outfits together – all of whom have different tastes, ages and lifestyles!

We have loads of great advocates of our brand that we love, and every Friday we feature one of them on our blog. These mid-week ‘Blog Spot’ posts are all about highlighting our favourite blogger entries of the week involving F&F!

Our blog spot highlight of this week comes from Fish Tank Fashion writer Fritha Louise…

We love the way her striking hair really lifts this white jumper dress and gives it that extra edge… the cute ankle boots really complete the outfit too!

Clothing at Tesco loves… Jo Beaufoix

By Rochelle Symons in Clothing at Tesco loves on Friday 24th June, 2011

It’s been a while since we’ve profiled one of our favourite mummy blogs, and we think there is no better time than the present, especially as there is currently 20% off Schoolwear on the site! And we’ve got a great blog lined up for you this week called Jo Beaufoix, written by fabulous mummy Jo.

We’ve been avid followers of her blog for quite some time now, and Jo certainly has a knack for bringing a smile to your face! We’re big fans of her amusing anecdotes from everyday life as a parent – especially ‘Just showing off really…’, a post where she rightfully proclaims herself the Queen of Flatpack, and ‘The Great Fire of Learning’ where her daughter creates an artistic masterpiece before her eyes.

Jo touches upon topics that all parents can relate to, so be sure to check out her blog for an interesting read!

Clothing at Tesco loves… Diamond Canopy

Diamond Canopy

We’re simply astounded by the vast amount of style content out there in the blogosphere, and wish there were enough hours in the day to read it all! However, we’re taking them one blog at a time, and this week we’ve been reading Diamond Canopy, a very creative blog written by Winnie.

Winnie certainly isn’t afraid to mix things up, and we love her quirky well-thought out sense of personal style! Don’t miss her fab use of sheer sleeves in ‘Black and Beige can be interesting too’, and her incredibly edgy print dress in ‘Some things are never forgotten’. She’s also a girl who knows the importance of the details, and we’ve completely fallen for these gorgeous prism earrings!

She’s got a great passion for art, and creativity seems to run through her veins! We really like the ‘Illustrations’ section of her blog, where some of her favourite blogger friends have kindly illustrated her in some pretty superb drawings.

Clothing at Tesco loves… Save Our Shoes

By Rochelle Symons in Clothing at Tesco loves on Friday 3rd June, 2011

Friday’s here and the suns out in full force, so we can’t think of a better time to spread some love to another of our favourite blogs! And this week we’ve been reading Save Our Shoes, a fabulous fashion blog written by Fi and LJ.

They are two best friends who document their passions for great style, art, and creativity in blog form – and we’re rather grateful for this killer combination! These girls know more than a thing or two about being playful with fashion, and they can even work the ever-tricky patterned look with ease… just take a look at the blog posts Childish and House Keeping. Simply gorgeous!

Fi and LJ also love nothing more than a good shindig, and they’re definitely your ‘go-to’ girls if you’d like to keep up with the latest happenings in the capital! Be sure to check out their ‘Summer In The City!’ series, where they run through their picks of the best events for the upcoming sunny season!

Clothing at Tesco loves…SBV

SBV

The sun is out and it’s put us all in a great mood, so it’s time to spread some love out to the blogosphere once again! This week, we’ve been pondering the wonderful Sbv, written by Sarah, whose fabulous blog proves that high street can be just as stylish as designer.

Sarah pulls together great looks using really wearable items, like this cute checked dress and this gorgeous polka dot number, making the most of the bargains to be found on the Great British high street. We also have to say, we’re very jealous of her extensive make-up box – all those eyeliners!

But this multi-talented lady doesn’t only know fashion, she also knows a thing or two about cooking – check out this collection of recipes for mouthwatering sweet treats which we can’t wait to try out. And as if that wasn’t enough, she makes her own jewellery, which can be found here on Etsy – gorgeous!

Be sure to have a browse through her posts, and make sure you follow her on Twitter too!

We Shop Therefore We Are

Time again for us to pass some love over to one of the great blogs we’ve been reading, and this week it’s We Shop Therefore We Are, a brilliant style and trend blog written by Sarah.

It seems like nothing fazes her when it comes to the fashion stakes, and she isn’t afraid to mix different colours and textures to piece together that perfect outfit! Just take a look at Leather & Lace, where she pairs a gorgeous burnt orange lace top with a strong and volumous leather skirt. It’s an unlikely combo but we’ve fallen for it completely!

She’s also got a keen eye for the latest trends in fashionland, and we’re quite envious of her ability to spot the emerging must haves for the upcoming season! For Spring/Summer 11, Sarah predicts that pleats and pink trousers will be the season staples – you heard it here first!

Rainbows & Fairydust

It’s Friday again, and the end to another week of style spotting in the blogosphere! This week, we’ve been reading Rainbows & Fairydust, a great fashion blog written by Clare.

One thing you notice straight away when reading her blog, is that she is completely comfortable wearing a dramatic outfit, be it this gorgeous colour blocking blazer and blouse combo, or this maxi dress and floppy hat beauty! She also isn’t afraid to try her hand at DIY fashion, and has an eye for transforming high street into high end – as well as saving a pretty penny along the way!

Clare’s certainly proved that she has a true passion for fashion, so it’s no wonder that she’s quite the girl about town! Follow her as she goes style spotting at the London Fashion Week Look show, and even sneakily spots fashion icon Olivia Palermo!

Be sure to check out Clare’s fantastic blog, especially for style inspiration as we enter the spring season!

That's So Yesterday

We can’t quite believe it’s March already, but with style inspiration like this, we’re fully embracing the spring season! This week, we’ve been reading That’s So Yesterday, by self confessed Lady Gaga and Ebay addict Laura.

She shares our love for bold prints, and she certainly isn’t afraid of a splash of colour! But don’t take our word for it, see for yourself as she completely works this printed scarf and jacket combo, as well as this eye-catching hot pink lipstick!

We also love that she doesn’t keep all her style secrets to herself, often updating her blog with her latest nail art, and even has a guide to the new dip dyed hair trend!

So if your looking to inject a bit more colour into your spring wardrobe, be sure to check out Laura’s blog for a bit of inspiration!

Lottie Loves

Friday’s here, and we’ve got another great blog up our sleeve! But it isn’t just any blog – Lottie Loves is a blog to devoted to vintage and period fashion, and blogger Lottie’s passions and interests shine through every facet of her blog.

Inspired by the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s, Lottie has proven to be a great inspiration as she is able take the elegant trends of the era, and pull them off effortlessly! Especially with the upcoming Mad Men inspired 60’s trend, we can’t help but swoon over her full skirts and long hemlines that embody the trademark femininity of the era’s style.

We also love that Lottie is a true advocate for looking your best and high self esteem. Her ‘Finishing School’ feature is a series of posts designed to help women everywhere boost their confidence levels and she has some great tips to help you feel fabulous! We especially like A little about me…, where she asks her readers to list their favourite things about themselves.
