Clothing at Tesco loves... Lost & Found

Although there’s been a distinct lack of summer sunshine this week, month, (year?), lets look on the bright side because the weekend is here! This week, as if by magic, we’ve found our way to the fabulous fashion/lifestyle blog… Lost and Found!

Brought to life by the retro-styled Laura and her love of writing, fashion, design and her general need to always be doing something; Lost & Found is every woman’s one-stop-shop for high street trends, charity shop and car boot sale trinkets that will make you want to hunt down your nearest hidden gems, and also for discovering other great blogs out there in her weekly I’m Loving feature.

If you’re more of a visual girl, then we highly recommend lining up a cheeky ‘duvet day’ this weekend and browsing Laura’s My Week In Photos section of her blog, lots of pretty snaps – it’s made a few of us start our own weekly photo diary too!

With a degree in Writing Fashion and Culture and a Masters in Fashion Merchandise Management this chick knows her stuff, but she also makes fashion about having fun, rather than being too serious which is what we love at Clothing at Tesco!

PS. We heart Laura’s fab outfit at our F&F Pop Up Shop launch party!

Photos, Food and Fashion at the SS12 Blogger Preview Event

By Rochelle Symons in Exclusive, News, Womenswear on Thursday 24th November, 2011

On Tuesday this week, we donned our gladrags and headed to the Oxo Tower on the South Bank to give some of our favourite bloggers a sneak peek at the F&F Spring Summer 2012 collection. The night was a roaring success – everyone was thrilled to see the gorgeous new pieces that will be available early next year, and we all got into the party vibe with cupcakes, canapés, champagne, beautiful nail art courtesy of WAH nails, and posing that even Madonna would be proud of in the photobooth!

The new collection looked fabulous, with stunning prints, striking colours and statement pieces that we can’t wait to get our hands on! We gave each of our guests a heart shaped tag to hang on their favourite item in the collection – it was a tough choice, but it was great to see the variety of items being picked.

The lovely Tor from Fab Frocks chose a fabulous red number, whilst Lizzy from Scientist Chic went for a cream lace dress. Sarah from EssBeeVee filled hers in sporting a funky polka dot manicure and Clara from Clazzerati chose a stripey tube skirt. We’ll be sharing more favourite blogger pieces over the next few weeks, so stay tuned to see the hottest items from the collection!

Of course, all this browsing was very exhausting, so we rewarded our hard-working bloggers with some very yummy cupcakes, courtesy of Brown Sugar Cupcakes – yum! The wonderful ladies from WAH nails were also on hand to pamper our guests with some glam manicures.

Sherin from Hi Fashion showed off her gorgeous coral and polka dot manicure on Twitter, and Florrie from Intrinsically Florrie rocked her pink glitter and rose manicure. Huge thanks to the WAH nails team for taking part and doing such a fabulous job!

The highlight of the night had to be the photobooth, courtesy of Say Fromage!, which provided an endless source of amusement for us all! There were some fabulous mugshots featuring wigs, Santa hats and fake flamingos – check out the gallery to see them all. Our favourites have to be this fabulous one of Amy from Wolf Whistle being a little star, Clare from Rainbows and Fairydust rocking the pink hair and Laura from That’s So Yesterday showing us her maraccas!

Thank you so much to everybody who came – we couldn’t have done it without you! And if you too want a sneak peak at the collection before it hits stores and our website early next year, keep an eye out for the SS12 lookbook, which we’ll be posting here very soon.

We’ve got an inkling that 2011 is going to be a great year for blogging! And to kick the year off in good stead, we’ve been reading Dreaming Spires and Old Car Tyres, a fashion blog written by student MJ.

Her sense of style strikes a brilliant balance that we love – quirky whilst also simplistic and aesthetically mindful. We’re particularly envious of her hard earned vintage finds, including this beautiful oversized scarf and our particular fave, a vintage Harrods camel coat bought for the purse pleasing price of four pounds! Also, be sure to check out her top tips for charity shopping to grab yourself a vintage bargain of your own.

However, MJ doesn’t simply stop there. In the true spirit of experimentation, she fully embraces making things her own – be it a fab bumbag belt made from an old leather jacket, right through to a makeshift hoodie made using a scarf and a belt!

If you’re on twitter, make sure you follow her too!

Happy Friday!

Clothing at Tesco loves Sweethearts Hold Hands

By Rochelle Symons in Clothing at Tesco loves on Friday 5th November, 2010

This week, we’ve been reading a great looking blog called Sweethearts Hold Hands, written by blogger Nicola who has a well thought out vintage style – echoed with her choices of style icon; Madeleine and Paddington Bear!

There is a sense of real nostalgia with her posts, and her love of 1950’s inspired trends is apparent through her brilliant outfit posts and quirky vintage finds! What’s even better, Nicola has the uncanny ability to recreate the look without breaking the bank – thanks to the help of some brilliant items she picks up on the high street and in charity shops.

So if you’re looking to try something new this winter, be sure to check out Nicola’s blog for some vintage style inspiration!

Happy Friday!
