It’s just short of a month before London Fashion Week kicks off again, and we can hardly contain our excitement!
One of the fashion capitals of the world, London, along with Paris, Milan, and New York, form the ‘Big 4’ and all eyes will be on our runways come February 18. The great thing about fashion week is that upcoming innovative designers are able to showcase their collections alongside some of the world’s biggest names, and we’ve already marked down our ‘not-to-miss’ picks!
Kicking things off bright and early, Paul Costelloe’s ‘tailoring with a twist’ is bound to set the week off in good stead. We’re expecting the unexpected from Christopher Kane, and his attention to detail made him one of our favourites from last year. Location is key for Erdem, and we’re wondering how he’ll top last year’s staircase catwalk! Swedish label Acne will again bring more minimalist chic to the table, whilst Louise Gray and Craig Lawrence proudly fly the flag for upcoming British talent.
As always, the shows from Burberry Prorsum, Vivienne Westwood Red Label, PPQ, and Julien Macdonald will be the trademarks of the week, and there’s no doubt that everyone will be these clambering for these hot tickets! For the guys, the Christopher Shannon, James Long, and Tim Soar shows should be on the top of your list.
