Last day for Halloween steals

I can barely believe it’s the end of September, hasn’t time flown? The kids have been back at school for almost a month which means that Halloween must be just around the corner! Here at Tesco HQ, this is one of our favourite times of the year and the definite highlight of Autumn. Even though it’s just one night at the end of October, an eerie ghostly and ghoulish atmosphere usually decends weeks earlier. In the offices, there are already ghost stories circulating and much debate about the best and most original fancy dress costume. Last year’s most popular choice was Lady Gaga, we had several amazing Gaga lookalikes. We think that 2010 will be the year of the vampire fancy dress outfit, with the likes of Twilight and Vampire Diaries only growing in popularity. A couple of our more Halloween obsessed team mates (who must have a lot of time on their hands!) have been inspired by Avatar and Alice in Wonderland!

Excitement is in the air as the 2010 World Cup kicks off today, and of course England playing their first match tomorrow.

We are also excited to present this week’s blog love to Violet Posy, a strong modern mother, showing her stuff through her online blog. Part style, part mum, part geek, this blog mixes things up nicely, and is a great read for any working mums out there!

It’s run by Liz, who worked in IT for ten years before giving up a corporate life and starting her own web design business. Between family trips, iPad reviews and new stylish finds, her blog is certainly never boring.

She also helps out loads of other bloggers, and has blogged for singlemummy.net.
