Blah Blah Becky

Happy Friday everyone – time for a nice relaxing weekend! And what better to start things off than to catch up with a wonderful fashion blog. This week, we thought we would feature the lovely Blah Blah Becky!

Blah Blah Becky is a fashion, beauty & lifestyle blog, written by the fabulous Becky (in case the name didn’t give it away).  She has a slightly grungy vintage personal style, and we especially love very on trend print jumpers such as this cute deer one, and this amazing racoon one.

Becky also has more than a few features and tips up her sleeve, such as her recent guide to Christmas shopping in London, and some really useful photography pointers in her post about the difficulties of blogging in winter.

Needless to say, it’s a great blog to get help you get into the Christmas spirit, so be sure to check it out!

Oh and if you’re a twitterholic, don’t forget to follow her!

Clothing at Tesco loves… Diamond Canopy

Diamond Canopy

We’re simply astounded by the vast amount of style content out there in the blogosphere, and wish there were enough hours in the day to read it all! However, we’re taking them one blog at a time, and this week we’ve been reading Diamond Canopy, a very creative blog written by Winnie.

Winnie certainly isn’t afraid to mix things up, and we love her quirky well-thought out sense of personal style! Don’t miss her fab use of sheer sleeves in ‘Black and Beige can be interesting too’, and her incredibly edgy print dress in ‘Some things are never forgotten’. She’s also a girl who knows the importance of the details, and we’ve completely fallen for these gorgeous prism earrings!

She’s got a great passion for art, and creativity seems to run through her veins! We really like the ‘Illustrations’ section of her blog, where some of her favourite blogger friends have kindly illustrated her in some pretty superb drawings.

If you’re on Twitter, you can follow her too.

Happy Friday!

Trend Alert – Prints

By Jill Marshall in Trends, Womenswear on Monday 15th March, 2010

Large prints are a big trend this year! Colours, shapes and animals straight from the cinema. We all reckon Alice in Wonderland is a huge inspiration right now; Think big, bright and bold. Prints have already been gracing the catwalks of fashion designers like Josh Goot and Basso & Brooke for their upcoming spring/summer ranges.

This trend is really going to make a statement this summer; it won’t be hard with all the colours and shapes – but remember, if you want to try this look you shouldn’t go over board! Just because animal print and graphic print t-shirts are on trend, it does not mean you should wear them both together. Team your animal print leggings with a loose fitting t-shirt, adding a bold coloured cardi for when it gets chilly.

If you’re a little unsure about prints, ease yourself in to it go for a graphic print t-shirt with shorts or a blocked colour dress which will require few accessories. Work the trend to your own sense of style.

From graphic print dresses to animal print tops you can work this trend in to your summer wardrobe. We have a great range of graphic print dresses, vests and hanky hem tops, which come in a kaleidoscope of colours and prints!

Like the sound of this trend?  If so, check out our print range, and let us know how you will be working it in to your own look this summer.
