Clothing at Tesco loves… Swell Vintage

By Rochelle Symons in Clothing at Tesco loves on Friday 18th November, 2011

It was great to meet and chat with loads of our favourite bloggers at the F&F S/S12 unveiling this week. We had a fantastic time, and hope everyone who came down did too! We know the photo booth went down a treat!

If you’ve had a hectic week too, take some time to sit down, relax and check out Swell Vintage, a blog written by one of our favourite bloggers who came down to our preview. Swell Vintage is a brilliant lifestyle and fashion blog written by Frankie Murry, a girl who definitely has vintage on her mind!

Swell Vintage is a super cool place to keep up with the all things fashion from catwalk-to-casual. She always features fantastic items; we’re particularly in love with these 1950s prom dress numbers. As you would expect, Frankie is a bit of a vintage addict, so her blog is all about retro and vintage fashion. This is great as it means she gets access to all the best vintage fairs and events, such as this fun looking warehouse meet-up to look through and share lots and lots of vintage gems.

She’s said some lovely things about our recent event and from the looks of her photo booth pics it looks like she had a great time!

You can see what she got up to and there are plenty more pics from our S/S12 event here – be sure to check them out for a taste of what’s to come this summer!

Swell Vintage is a must-read for all vintage lovers out there, and as ever, make sure you follow her on Twitter to keep up with the latest goings on in the vintage world.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Clothing at Tesco Loves.. Natasha Bailie

By Rochelle Symons in Clothing at Tesco loves on Friday 30th April, 2010

There is something magical about vintage clothing…the history of an item, the lure of mystery from times past…and just the joy of wearing something that has stood the test of time.

One of the most fanatical vintage addicts is Natasha Bailie, who not only has an online shop filled to the brim with pretty vintage clothing, but also a blog devoted to all things bygone.

It doesn’t take anyone too long to realise that the girl is crazy about Grace Kelly and all things 1950’s.

Her blog details celebs obsessed with vintage, current fashion icons and inspiration, icons in history and general fashion news.

You may have seen Natasha on the BBC, styling the ladies from Aol Stylelist or in the Sunday Times. She knows her stuff!

Her blog is a haven for everyone obsessed with the 1950’s, Emma Pillsbury of Glee or beautiful vintage dresses.

We like it a lot! How about you?

If you have a blog you love, do let us know and we will take a look

Street Style – South African Style

By Rochelle Symons in Street Style on Thursday 29th April, 2010

With the World Cup just around the corner, we had our South African insider hit the streets to give us a taste of what the big trends and looks are in Cape Town.

Unlike here, the summer season has just ended in South Africa, and they are moving into autumn, which is why some of our models are dressed up a bit warmer than you would expect.

For those of you travelling to the World Cup, remember that it’s going to be rainy and a bit cold (although nowhere near as cold as our autumn). So stock up on light jackets and denim. If your not heading off to the World Cup, but want too make sure you enter our competition to win a family trip to the World Cup.

Our insider has informed us vintage clothing has always been a big part of Cape Town fashion, you can see a lot of vintage pieces in these photos. There are loads of vintage stores in Cape Town, and if you chose the right ones you can honestly snap up some ridiculously cheap bargains!

Our model in the red dress is rocking the ‘zef’ trend with her sunglasses, a South African trend epitomized by the band ‘Die Antwoord’.

What do you think of their style? Are you a fan?
